New Singers
If your child is new to Vocal Hub Kids, this is the best place to start. Every voice is different, so we offer two simple ways for new singers to begin. These sessions help us get to know your child, understand their goals, and make sure they start in the place that will support them best.

Voice Discovery Session
(30 mins - $77)
Getting to know your child and how they use their voice.

Our Voice Discovery Session is the starting point for most new singers at Vocal Hub Kids. In this relaxed session, we take time to get to know your child — their interests, confidence, musical experiences and what they’re hoping to achieve. We also gently keep an eye on vocal load and any areas that may benefit from extra support, so we can guide you toward the right next step.

During the session, we may explore:
-
your child’s comfort and confidence with singing
-
simple listening and coordination activities
-
how they currently use their speaking and singing voice
-
any signs of vocal fatigue or strain
-
what they’d love to learn, try or work toward

This session is facilitated by Nadia Votino, our senior vocal coach and studio director, who has many years of experience working with young singers and creating supportive, voice-healthy learning environments. At times, Tania may take sessions when Nadia is unavailable.
At the end, we’ll talk through our recommendations and help you feel clear about what comes next — whether that’s lessons, further voice exploration, or additional support if needed.

Singing Voice Assessment
(45 mins, includes written plan) $165
A closer look at how your child is using their voice.

Our Singing Voice Assessment is recommended when you would like to explore your child’s voice in more detail — particularly around technique, stamina, voice safety and performance readiness.

This session is delivered by our founder, Tania Savelli — Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, experienced vocal coach of over 20 years, and professional singer. This unique blend of expertise means your child is supported with both vocal artistry and evidence-informed voice care in mind.

During the assessment, we gently explore:
-
vocal range and coordination
-
tone, pitch accuracy and stamina
-
current singing habits and practice routines
-
vocal health and voice-care screening
-
confidence, goals and performance readiness

Everything is child-friendly, relaxed and supportive.

After the session, you’ll receive a short report-style plan summarising what we noticed, your child’s strengths, and personalised recommendations for next steps, tailored to suit your child’s goals, stage of development and voice needs — so their pathway feels safe, achievable and enjoyable.
